Ranches of Mexico

Cindy Trautwein took a tour of a Cozumel Ranch in the center of Cozumel. This ranch is owned by the family where the son uncles aunts all participate. It’s only 2 acres. It’s right off of transversal road where you’re surrounded by other family ranches small as a matter of fact, but still growing trees with fruits having the animals for food chickens, pigs, cows, but again in small proportions. What is unique about this is they’ve opened up the family home to be a tour and experience with the tours offered by fliptourscozumel.com where you can spend 2 to 3 hours on the ranch with the family on a walkabout through their trees, plants, flowers, animals, even climb the coconut tree for your own coconut and end with a tequila tasting with tequila from Jalisco.

There a open fire for cooking, handmade tortillas for your participation as part of the family is also from Oaxaca so she will assist in teaching you how to make sopes a common Mexican food made with masa.  The opportunity for this experience is that it’s a multicultural Mexico, experience of Oaxaca, Jalisco, and Maya.  You’ll see it on the flip tours cozumel website to book.
